The Wavepool Deep Relaxation Soundtrack was created by Robert Rand, an acoustician, polarity therapist, and eclectic world-music musician. Rob made a stunning ambient surf recording on the coast of Maine in May 2008 that sounds like the ocean is breathing... Later in the studio Rob created and mixed in deep melodic textures... while channeling for the listener the highest energetic state and intention maintained during advanced therapeutic healing sessions as an experienced polarity therapist. What does that all mean? This is one deep, relaxing soundtrack.
The Wavepool Deep Relaxation Soundtrack CD release is scheduled for January 2010. CDs will be available online at cdbaby.com and through various distributors.
Enjoy- and stay tuned! If you have any questions or feedback, send Rob an e-mail.

"After listening to Wavepool, when the cd ended, I realized that it had caused a shift in my listening. What might be considered random disconnected sounds in the world around me took on a shape, like a piece of music. I started hearing "noise" (the sounds of the town, car motors, machines, birds, people....) as a kind of symphony of related sound. I have had a similar experience listening to some of the music of Steve Roach, that the end of the cd began to blend with the hum of the world, with the "universal OM". But Wavepool didn't simply dissolve my listening into the hum, it opened my ears to the music around me." - Shirsten Lundblad, Massage Therapist, Brunswick, Maine.

Dean Ornish and the Relaxation Response
"Research by Dean Ornish, director of the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in San Francisco, has shown that relaxation training improves blood flow to the heart. He also found that relaxation lowered cholesterol levels and lessened the severity of angina attacks."
By chance, Dr. Dean Ornish was my attending physician at Mass General Hospital in 1981 when I was admitted following a near-death experience. Dr. Ornish was attentive and intrigued by my accounts of the auras, visions and sounds I saw and heard both during the near-death event and afterwards during my year of recovery with his care. Drawing from his compassion and curiosity, I returned years later to holistic study in a three-year advanced program of Polarity Therapy to complement my scientific profession in acoustics.
